For me? Email marketing and ActiveCampaign go together like a good book and a cuppa tea. I use the platform for my own email marketing and have set up and optimised accounts for many others.
And while I’m not saying ActiveCampaign is for everyone… If you’re a small to medium service-based business, looking to level up your email marketing, there’s a good chance I’m going to recommend ActiveCampaign to you.
Wanna know why? Keep on scrollin’.
1. ActiveCampaign integrates with damn-near everything
I’ve seen some pretty — shall we say — interesting email marketing setups in my days.
But you know what? I get it. Integrating ALL THE THINGS is bloody hard work sometimes.
We all want to integrate our website, our online store, our training platform, our CRM, and our Facebook ads… the list is long!
And often this is a pain in the friggin neck for one of two reasons:
- The platforms are borderline impossible to integrate (unless you wanna hire a wiz-bang web developer to craft you a custom API… *gulp* 😶), or
- You have to pay for another bloody subscription (Zapier anyone?) to get the damn things to communicate with one another!
With ActiveCampaign, the above situations just don’t happen that often.
Why? Because it integrates intuitively (seriously I’m talkin’ a couple of quick clicks) with over 840 popular apps. This includes the likes of Shopify, ClickUp, Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Dubsado, Kajabi, Squarespace, WordPress, Acuity, Zoom, Xero… you probably get the jist by now.
In short? I’ve seen ActiveCampaign save my clients tons of time and money. And I can’t think of two resources that are more important to small business success.
2. ActiveCampaign allows your email marketing to be as simple or sophisticated as you choose
There are plenty of email marketing platforms that do the basics well. Mailchimp? Flodesk? Aweber? ConvertKit? All of these will serve you well when you’re getting started with email marketing.
But here’s the thing.
None of these platforms are going to go the distance with you.
Sure, they’ll do the job for a fortnightly newsletter. But once the rubber hits the road and you’re ready to set up onboarding sequences, lead magnets and really make an effort to nurture your leads into customers? You’re gonna get frustrated.
These platforms just ain’t built for a sophisticated and strategic approach to email marketing. They’re built for the basics.
ActiveCampaign on the other hand? It can easily scale with your business.
Once you get your head around the interface, which is honestly pretty self-explanatory, you can leverage the features you need, when you need ‘em. The rest, you can easily ignore until you’re ready.
But you can sleep soundly knowing that when you’re ready to take that next step up? You won’t have to worry about migrating your customer data, learning the ropes of a new platform, or wasting weeks warming up your new IP address.
3. ActiveCampaign has a support team in Australia (that are very supportive)
When you’re running a small business in Australia, there is almost NOTHING more annoying than using an American service provider with support hours that are in direct conflict with the hours you’re, ya know… awake?!
Now, you might be thinkin’ “Jeez Louise, Sam, that all sounds a touch dramatic.”
But let me tell ya, when your email sequences are on the fritz the last thing you want is to be caught up in endless email chains that can end up spanning multiple business days! You want to jump on a live chat or call with a REAL human that can solve your issue pronto.
So when a software I need has a support team in my timezone (like ActiveCampaign does), it’s safe to say I’m pretty darn happy.
